Good day, to you, a small history of my experience with the Helderberg Stroke Support Group. I joined this group about a year ago, but what and amazing experience.
I am the chairman of the HSSG group of the Somerset group. First of all, we get our 1hour training and their after a 10 minutes break and a 50 minutes game session to give your brain some therapy which is very good, in fact most of love both, but the majority love the games. Every time we come together you can see the excitement in the eyes of the group, and by the way we also have some music sessions where we dance with the music which is a way of exercising . Besides everything we do, there is a vision and a mission that we want to achieve. We started with 12 members in the group this year, but it is becoming less because some of the people in the group expect quick fix solutions, and don't see the long term results. I have witnessed how many people in our group has become better and stronger and more happy.
As a chairman in the group, we have our community meetings every month, and chair matter's with the group. We take part in many other activities which is organics by the HSSG. It is for me a great pleasure to be part of this group, and every year we have our AGM so other people in the group also get a chance to be nominated as a chairman. In conclusion l must say that we as the group members appreciate everything they do for us.
